Over the last few years, telehealth has transformed how we receive care. What started as a convenience has quickly become an essential part of modern medicine (especially in holistic and integrative healthcare). At Strata Med, we offer both in-person and virtual visits to ensure care is accessible, personalized, and aligned with your needs.
So, how do you know if telehealth is right for you? Let’s break it down.
What Is Telehealth?
Telehealth allows you to meet with your clinician through a secure video platform from the comfort of your home, office, or even while traveling. You receive the same level of attention and personalized care, just without the commute.
Benefits of Telehealth
1. Convenience & Flexibility
Telehealth makes it easier to prioritize your health without disrupting your day. No drive time, parking, or time off work. Just open your laptop or phone and connect!
2. Access to Care from Anywhere
Whether you’re across town, across the state, or traveling, you can still maintain continuity with your Strata Med provider.
3. Ideal for Functional & Integrative Medicine Follow-Ups
Many of our care plans (lab reviews, lifestyle coaching, supplement adjustments, gut health plans, and hormone follow-ups) can be done just as effectively through telehealth.
4. Reduced Exposure to Illness
Especially during cold and flu season, telehealth minimizes exposure while still allowing you to get the care you need.
5. Increased Comfort, Privacy, & Ease
Some patients feel more relaxed during a virtual visit, which can lead to more open conversations and better care outcomes.

When In-Person Visits May Be Better
While telehealth is incredibly convenient, there are times when an in-person visit is more ideal:
1. Physical Exams & Hands-On Assessments
Conditions that require a physical exam, palpation, or diagnostic tools (such as heart/lung exams or musculoskeletal assessments) are best done face-to-face.
2. Procedures & In-Office Treatments
IV therapy, injections, PRP procedures, and specialized testing require an in-office appointment.
3. New or Severe Symptoms
If you’re experiencing something new, worsening, or concerning (such as chest pain, severe abdominal discomfort, dizziness, or abnormal bleeding) your clinician may request an in-person evaluation.

The Strata Med Approach
At Strata Med, we believe healthcare should meet you where you are – literally! Our team works with you to decide when telehealth is appropriate and when an in-person visit will give you the highest quality care. Many of our patients use a hybrid model: virtual appointments for convenience and continuity, combined with occasional in-office visits for hands-on assessments or procedures. This balanced approach helps ensure safety, precision, and a deeper therapeutic relationship.
Still Not Sure Which To Choose?
If you’re wondering whether your next visit should be virtual or in-person, our Strata Med team is happy to guide you. We’re here to make your care as seamless and supportive as possible.
